Satellite Groups
MOWLL runs several satellite groups that formed naturally out of the friendships and interests of our Self Advocates and Peer Advocates.
When you join MOWLL you can choose to become a member of one or more of these groups. They are separate from Jigsaw or Keys4 and are run on different days or evenings. They are relaxed and social groups with the focus on fun and friendship.
Satellite groups are about friendship and fun
- WOMBB! - Women of MOWLL Bite Back!: This is a women-only group who meet regularly to have fun and enjoy each other’s company.
- Gentlemen of MOWLL: This is a men-only group who meet regularly to have fun and enjoy each other’s company.
- ReVoice!: A choir for people who want their views to be heard. They enjoy music and singing and get together to create songs and voice pieces as well as to practise and perform with other choirs.
- Art from the Heart: This is an art group who want to develop their talents and aim to have their work shown in exhibitions.
- Friends of MOWLL: Friends of MOWLL are people who are part of MOWLL now or who used to be. They meet together to catch up and to renew friendships. They encourage newer members to feel part of the wider membership of MOWLL. You are automatically part of this when you join MOWLL!
