Holistic Review
MOWLL (Moving On With Life and Learning) held an Holistic Review Day on Thursday 21st July 2011 at the Quaker Meeting House, Liverpool.
The aim of this free event is to share new information and knowledge, to strengthen and build on our networks of support and to enable our Self Advocates and other people living with the label of Learning Disability, mental health conditions or brain injury to look at options for moving on with their life.
The 2011 Holistic Review in full swing
15 Liverpool-based organisations that provide opportunities in education, employment, volunteering, advocacy and support for learning disabled adults were at the event to give details of what they have to offer. All organisations present represented a field of interest specifically requested by MOWLL Self Advocates, ensuring that there was truly something for everyone at this unique event.
The event is held annually by MOWLL and is open to anyone aged 18+ and living with the label of Learning Disability, parents and carers, support staff or anybody interested in volunteering or finding out more about opportunities and services on offer to learning disabled adults in Liverpool.
Many of MOWLL's Self Advocates and members of the public made links with local organisations and signed up for more information or to start receiving services.
MOWLL would like to thank all the organisations and people who helped to make the event such a great success!
